Latest Innovations in Tooth Implants Give You a Reason to smile

White, healthy teeth are a sign of a healthy body and a healthy mind. They also add a great deal to our social value. No matter what age missing teeth can make eating difficult and can make life difficult.

The demand for Tooth implants is an example of this. According to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) has over 30 million Americans suffer from missing teeth in either one or both jaws. Implants were used by three million Americans in 2010, and the number is projected to rise by 500,000 annually.

Tooth Implants are a long-standing trend. Installing regular implants can take a while. It can take anywhere from six months to a year, depending on how many implants are required and the condition of the patient.

However, technology is moving on as always. Solutions for missing teeth have been possible thanks to technological advances such as 3D radiographic imaging scans and soft tissue grafting.

  • All-on-4 Implants: This is a practice that has been in existence for about 10 years, so it is not that novel, but very few have ever heard of it. An anchor is inserted into the jawbone to attach dentures to four implants. A full mouth of four implants is possible to be fitted in one day. They’re sure to fit because the material that surrounds them is soft and flexible that easily adjusts to the shape of any mouth. The solid food can be consumed immediately afterward.
  • Mini-Tooth Implants: Similar to one toothpick, mini-Tooth Implants have the ability to go where a regular-sized implant won’t. Because they don’t require screws or a strong jawbone to graft, they are great for seniors. Although they can be done in under an hour, soft foods are required to be consumed for a few days.
  • Immediate Tooth Implants: This procedure is the most efficient as almost everything can be done in a single visit. You could be eating in one of the restaurants the same evening. Since the teeth that are being replaced are used before the bone grows around them, there could be more problems than usual. This could be the most effective solution if you are limited in time. Many patients have received immediate tooth implants with no issues.
  • Regular Tooth Implants: This is the most traditional procedure and is the most slow. It is vital to have a sturdy jawbone that is wide and strong. Only a handful of full-size screws can be fitted to the jawbone at one time. Implanting more than two or three teeth implants could require multiple appointments. There is an average of 3 to 6 months waiting period to allow the bone to develop around the screw and then another three to six months before permanent crowns replace the temporary crowns. They are contingent on the individual’s mouth teeth, bone and teeth. Certain treatments are suitable for all, but some individuals will have a less extensive selection. The advice of a dentist or oral surgeon on this is crucial. The treatment is also costly. A single tooth implant can cost as much as $2,000. A full mouth could cost between $30,000 and $50,000.
